Every character in this game has its own sort of "theme"; the Ironclad has strength and damage scaling, the Silent is all about discard meta, and the Defect has passive effects by way of orbs. The Watcher is more or less the game's equivalent of a monk or priest class, with "stances" that change how you play, and energy/mana conservation and manipulation across turns. You can only have one stance at a time and it isn't revoked passively, so you have to plan ahead on what stance you're going to be using based on what the enemy is doing 2-3 turns later.
