First level looks a lot denser than in classic Spelunky (what I play), looks like my days of 8s per level runs are over.

I'm not usually a sucker for cuteness, but Derek Yu basically making characters out of his wife and daughter is super cute. This trailer doesn't quite excite me though, and I think it's because there isn't much oomph in the sound. The sound and music work in the original is an excellent if perhaps underrated aspect of the game and this doesn't feel like Spelunky without it. I'm sure I'll be onboard when I see actual gameplay videos.
