I played the demo during the last Steam festival and really enjoyed it. I stopped myself from playing more than a couple of hours (since I assumed I'd have to redo it anyway when it released), but I'm pretty confident it's going to end up getting a lot of playtime from me. It's kind of a hybrid of a deckbuilder, roguelite, and idle game. It gave me some feelings similar to the Hand of Fate games too, which I really enjoyed.

You just said a series of incredibly appealing words to me. Thanks for making me aware of this. I will likely be picking it up tomorrow now too. :P

Like @Deimos said, it's a bit of a hybrid deckbuilder, roguelite, and idle game, and has a 'Hand of Fate' like card selection system between "expeditions". But I would further add that it also plays like an inverted tower-defence game; Instead of trying to kill everything moving down a path with your building placement, your character is the one walking a looped path, so how you place buildings (which spawn creatures and have other effects) is more about trying to maximize your rewards without getting yourself killed (since you lose 60% of your rewards if you die before completing a loop).

I don't know how much replayability this game will have, but even after 5-6 hours of play I have only unlocked about 1/4 of the buildings in the town (which add more mechanics and classes), and haven't upgraded many of those buildings yet (which unlocks ever more stuff) either. So for $15, I will likely still get more than my money's worth out of it by the time I'm done.

I've avoided pretty much all spoilers and didn't read much about it and so far I'm loving it! Already sunk over 4 hours into it, so got my money's worth already :) The mix is very fun (to me, for now). Just unlocked another class and very curious where it'll go from where. From what I've seen so far (and I might be missing a ton still, I don't know), it won't have the near infinity replayability like Slay the Spire, but I don't see this getting boring anytime soon, either. Very excited for what's coming next and what content the first few big patches will drop. Hype!
