If you like arcade-style beat-em-ups and you haven't yet, absolutely play Streets of Rage 4. I ignored it for a long time, but it's ridiculously good (and recently got even better with a major patch/DLC).

I checked out the developer, Tribute Games, after a friend sent me this trailer and immediately added Panzer Paladin to my wishlist. It has a perfect period look and feel to it, all the way down to the color palette.

Question for anybody who knows TMNT better than I do: Has April O'Neil ever been shown in a combat role before, or is this a first for the franchise? In my memory she was always the damsel in distress. Not coming from a sexist place here, just wondering if that's new territory for the character. Definitely good to have better gender representation among the playable characters, though part of me wonders if it would have made more sense to introduce new female turtles or something. Then again I don't think I've consumed any TMNT media since the early '90s so what do I know.
My google-fu tells me she was a playable character in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Legends mobile game that I had never heard of prior to now and very much appears to be geared towards the...

Honestly, the existing four are pretty sexless. Is there any reason to think that any of the four isn't actually a woman? Their acculturation would lead to similar behaviors amongst them, none of...

In the 1980's-90's cartoons and at least the first three movies, they were treated as male. Their names were from male artisans, they were referred to as he/him, etc. I think trying to undo that...

I think trying to undo that for the sake of being woke would be a disservice to TMNT fans.
You're right. They were all AMAB, and acculturated as such. I don't think that one of them coming out as being actually female would be undoing any of that, anymore than anyone else doing so wipes...

Scott Pilgrim art style + NES/Arcade TMNT? YES! This looks awesome.
Friend group and I are excited about some Nintendo Switch couch co-op. Gonna be sweet!

(I'm joking, a little bit.)

There are/have been female TMNT, be it the current Jennika, or the previous (retconned) Venus.
