does anybody have more info on this? If this is true, how long will it take to see a commercially available vaccine?

CNBCTV18.com could not independently verify claims made in the report.

The vaccine candidates currently being developed are based on the genetic material of DNA protein "spike".

Researchers said the vaccine will be injected intramuscularly which will be followed by a brief electrical impulse.

"Researchers believe that this makes their vaccine particularly effective for generating functional antibodies against the “spike” protein, in particular in the lung cells, which are the most vulnerable to coronavirus," the report said.

Probably a little under a year before it passes stage 2 and 3 trials, then another half year at least before production ramps up enough to actually distribute these to everyone. You can, perhaps,...

You can, perhaps, given the situation skip some steps once you pass stage 1 safety trials, but I mean the ability to suddenly provide billions of people with a new vaccine is going to take a while, no matter how much money is pumped in.

edit: in case anyone is curious, phase 1 human trials is: does it kill you? phase 2 is: does it actually do anything? phase 3 is: does it work at scale/in practice?
