I watched all three parts over the past hour+. It was really striking to me that we started taking pandemics "seriously" in the '90s, creating task forces and offices in the executive branch, only for each subsequent presidential administration to dismantle the previous administration's task force/offices. I also learned more about how this talking point of "Obama's stockpile was depleted" was completely debunked and the reason it was in the state it was in upon leaving was due to congressional deadlocks on spending (looking at you Ted Cruz). I hadn't spent too much time researching that talking point so it was nice to have a more ohnest viewpoint presented.

But when you contrast their lessons learned in the first two parts, with Trump's in the final part, it really is mindblowing how stupid and irresponsible his administration is. If he had taken it seriously in January, so many lives would have been saved and our sense of normalcy would be much higher now.

Based off the experts that were brought in to talk about the response, I have no doubt that a competent administration could get this under control if we had more officials in the US government who listened to science. Election Day can't get here soon enough.
