This is so dumb. It's not eBay's fault and this will change nothing. They'll be sold elsewhere. People will use gel capsules. People will use baggies. There are a million ways people will get...

They'll be sold elsewhere. People will use gel capsules. People will use baggies. There are a million ways people will get around this just fine.

It's like banning the drugs themselves. Has it worked so far?

Eliminate the black market. Distribute safe drugs in a safe place for free. Every dose comes with a pamphlet for rehabs and phone numbers to call. Increase funding. Get the mentally ill and homeless off the streets and on their medications. Hand out Suboxone and Sublocade like candy to anyone who needs it. Aggressively pursue dealers. Stop the flow of guns into Mexico since they're often being traded for drugs and used to help the cartel continue their reign. Move manufacturing away from China to Mexico and South America - this will provide more stability and alternative job opportunities so that the cartel has fewer recruits and less of a stranglehold on these countries. It'll also provide alternatives ways to make money. Invest in communities so that people aren't destitute and hopeless. Give people reasons to go work and have families instead of join gangs.

The list of things we could do is endless. Holding eBay responsible for letting people sell things is completely useless and won't make a dent.

Generally I love the idea of punishing tech companies for wrongdoing but this is a dog and pony show.
