Steward Health Care has kept financial information secret for years. Now, it faces a demand from Massachusetts government
I'd like to say in shocked by this, but I'm not. 15 years in healthcare and not once have I thought there was sufficient regulatory oversight and auditing from the government. Health and human services almost everywhere is an underfunded joke. You should take a look at articles about Long Term Stay or adult day cares, shit is a joke.
I don't know why or how they're able to get away with it, or convince anyone to work there when the paychecks bounce, who knows
This seems unbelievable, but the Prospect has been reputable in the past. I'm going to see if I can find more information
Honestly I believe it. I have a friend who does travel nursing and sometimes has to go there, it's her least favorite hospital in the area.
I also have 3 different Drs with Stewart health, all 3 of them have been having problems with their phones. I've mentioned it before to them and they say they've been told they're going to fix it "sometime soon", it's been over a year. It takes upwards to 30 calls to get to someone and apparently leaving a message doesn't actually work either so I'm told.
Steward Health Care announces six point action plan
One of the goals of this action plan is to 'reset its operations and address vendor obligations, which it is working diligently to resolve in service to getting to a sustainable operating model.'
How interesting. I just had my colonoscopy there Monday. At least the inpatient procedures were good for me.
