The first child's medical records have only been released to a specific anti-vaccine advocacy group who is saying that there was malpractice and spreading that measles is not the cause. It seems like that child also had pneumonia and was brought to the ER only when things were already very bad and possibly septic.
This is how kids often die from measles. It's awful and tragic and it's we have vaccines now so we don't remember it. That doesn't even cover all the side effects from surviving a measles infection - like sometimes having your immune system reset entirely.
