I want to find a gym with classes now. I'm getting tired of just lifting weights and i need to up my cardio. Maybe those classes with stationary bikes would be cool, plus it has the social factor as an upside since this is a new city for me.

I can splurge more on gym memberships after moving because i will start cooking my own food and hopefully will save a lot of money.

You should try a boxing gym or a fighting gym! I was very much like you. I was lifting weights but not getting in enough cardio and was looking for a more social/class based workout. I love it. The classes have a lot of cardio and still get an insane amount of muscle work in there. Most gyms I have gone to don't include sparring in day-to-day classes, you have to go to specific sparring classes so if actually fighting isn't something that interests you or is something you want to ease your way into that isn't a problem! They tend to be more expensive but I couldn't imagine quitting and going back to just lifting now. Though there are some nuances to be aware of going in that I can elaborate on if boxing is something you're open to.

I'm hoping to hit the gym for the first time in ages! For many reasons (and even more excuses :P ) I haven't been going to the gym for over a year now despite still paying my membership because I always want to get back into it. I found a new transit route and talked to my manager about a new work schedule that should let me go to morning boxing classes now :) I'm super hyped to get back into the swing of things. I miss training, I miss sparring, I miss my friends I met there. Its going to be great. Definitely expecting to be sore for a while though.
