    Because the jokes write themselves...

Confused anti-vaccine protesters stormed what they thought was a major BBC building on Monday, apparently unaware the corporation largely moved out almost a decade ago.

The circular building was vacated by the BBC in 2013 and has since been converted into flats and a private members’ club.

    Alternative titles:

Anti-vaxxers, doing their own research, led to incorrect information.

Protesters, believed behind the times, proven to literally be such.

I mean they don't write themselves, it's guardian writers writing it for the guardian audience. I don't believe anyone in the UK doesnt know the BBC moved ages ago because it was constantly on the news, nor does the guardian interview people who thought it was still the BBC headquarters. That said it's still a TV studio where some of the biggest daytime tv is filmed and an iconic building, which is the reason they stormed it (and it's in London which may be the biggest reason).

If you don't think the antivax lot are stupid enough and badly informed enough to think the BBC are still in Television Centre, clearly you haven't spent a lot of time around the antivax lot (and I suggest you do not, it's very depressing how dumb many of them they are, also they're quite likely to be infectious)

The actual BBC are not far away, and their beef was specifically with BBC News, not with fluffy chatshows like This Morning or Loose Women.

"Many of the protesters outside the building appeared to be operating under the belief they were targeting a major BBC building connected to its news coverage, with live streams and promotional material for the event mentioning the building’s BBC links." (emphasis mine)
