Anyone else here have a home electronics lab or bench? I'd love to see.

Edit: I'm uncertain if I should have this here in ~creative, or if I should have posted in ~hobbies.

Have you considered voice-over work or narration? Your voice is like ear butter.

Aww!! I don't think anyone has ever said that before. I also never really thought of my voice as being anything in particular - kind of more thought I was dry / robotically unemotional in my speech most of the time.

Thank you, that made me internally squee in joy just a bit.

And no, never really considered voice work - see my prior statement on my perceived robotic-voice-ness. I'm glad you get something from it though.

I ha en't watched through the whole vide but just from bits and snippets, this looks nice. I only wish I could have such a homelab/bench myself. Nowadays my scope is in its bag in thecorner in our living room and I moved all my other stuff (mini-drawers with oarts, DMMs, soldering irons etc.) into the garage joined with house. I simply wasn't doing enough stuff with it to justify having it in living room.

Such tinkering place would be great but I don't really have free real estate for it. When I have to do something electronics, I either occupy living room/couch table if I need really big slace or my own table in the living room if I'm doing something smaller like Arduino or RPi. Sometimes I take our dining table for myself but it's more when I do PC stuff than electronics.

Here are a few pictures of me seizing the common places in our house for myself: https://imgur.com/a/0eKDGSf

It's completely reasonable to keep stuff in storage if it's only getting used once in a while. Thanks for sharing, especially the pictures of some of your setups!

I feel your pain! Even though I do have a basement workshop, I often end up bringing things upstairs to work on so I can be around my family while doing so.

This is why my wife don't care that much - she, just as me, likes that I'm with the family even when working on stuff. This is main advantage of doing such things in the living part of the house....

This is main advantage of doing such things in the living part of the house. But when you need to do something there probably isn't anything better than well suited lab. I say probably as I don't have one... Yet.
