I grew up watching Jacques Cousteau's documentaries. Some of my earliest memories are of watching them. And my mother is still quite fond of telling the story of how often she would walk into the living room, ask what I was watching, and me answering back "Jack Costo". So this video brought back a lot of fond memories, and was a wonderful glimpse into the ship, its history, and the people aboard it.

Anyone else here grow up watching his documentaries too?

p.s. I think The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou is also one of my favorite films in large part because of my love of Cousteau. Plus, it also introduced me to Seu Jorge's acoustic Bowie covers, which I also now love.
