An opinion video from Alternate History Hub where he argues that the Early Modern Period (from the 1500s to the late 1700s) in continental Europe is a really underappreciated era of history, due to it's transitional nature between the Medieval era and the Modern, Industrial era. He focuses mostly on military and political history (partly because the audience of AHH likes that), particularly the clash between armored knights and gunpowder in what is now called pike and shot warfare, alongside talking about how the dominant powers of Europe at the time weren't the same as in the 18th century until now.

I'm really enjoying the first episodes of the Revolutions podcast, which are about the reign of King Charles I of England. It takes place starting in about 1625. It also talks some about the pike and shot warfare!
