I feel like when people talk about WWII, most of them focus on the western front - Normandy, Dunkirk, battle of Britain, battle of France etc. The eastern front gets largely forgotten, and people don't remember the importance it played in winning the war, or the enormous amounts of deaths that the Russians suffered against the Germans.
