On language discrimination within Ukraine

@Voytsekhovskyi:
A thread about why many Ukrainians speak Russian and why it was not actually their choice but rather consequences of about 400-year #RussianColonialism. Today we'll review just some examples of how Russia methodically was banning 馃嚭馃嚘language and forcing Ukrainians to forget it. 馃У pic.twitter.com/HIuxrLFdpc

    If you始re lucky to know or understand Ukrainian then you can try to watch Eugenia Kuznetsova始s channel on Youtube where is info about it. She also wrote a book about it at the end of previous year, but the new larger invasion happened, and many big bookmakers are in Xark么v which is very close to border.

    An another notice, those things are happening not only to Ukrainian. For compare you can read about Caucasus genocide. And other minor languages which under their control are still oppressed in many ways. For example, there始re even a phrase like write as Luorawetlat which means write so poorly.

    I just realised I linked the wrong thread, although Sergey鈥檚 thread is also good and I meant to link that for more context. Here鈥檚 the link I meant to submit:...
