There's one point of all this I don't feel like was ever addressed - it all focused on cops talking to possible suspects. But what if you're a bystander and you could legitimately help a case move forward by talking? For example, if there's a massive manhunt for a known criminal, and you have important knowledge of where they might be, wouldn't it be better to speak up than not?

I'm sure context matters here, they appear to be talking about being questioned about your involvement in a situation. If you have information about a crime, depending how you came upon that...

If you have information about a crime, depending how you came upon that information, it still might be prudent to have a lawyer with you so as not to somehow implicate yourself.

When possible you could give that information anonymously.

I didn't expect to watch all of it either, but the man's way of talking was really enjoyable. For me at least, videos of people talking are either fast and take me more effort to understand (if at all), especially if they have an accent, or too slow and boring. This talk is fast and clear, I really liked that.

On a slightly unrelated note: why do movie theatres not have subtitles? When I go out to watch movies I miss most of the jokes and subtleties. The same thing happens with youtube, although sometimes people are kind enough to write subtitles. It's interesting because Chinese movies are always subtitled, sometimes in both Chinese and English.

Personally if a movie is subtitled I find myself reading the captions even when I understand the language they are speaking and miss the actual movie.
