Should I move this to ~humanities given that it's about history and a modern technique historians and even laymen are using to identify people in historical photos, or even ~tech given the modern technology and the web-service involved? It seems a shame for it to linger in ~misc when there a few other groups where this would be appropriate (and probably more appreciated).

Ah yes, thanks. I considered ~tech for a moment, but forgot all about ~humanities. I probably would have put it there if I had remembered it.
