Gwenpool has recently come out as asexual within the most recent installment of the Love Unlimited comic on Marvel Unlimited, and the internet has opinions. As Gwenpool's deal is that she was magically transported from a world like ours to the Marvel Universe, everything she does is inherently performative, and she's poked at getting into a relationship when she's on a team book, or proposing a threesome with the Richards to stay relevant, and crushing on her faves. But none of these have moved past suggestions and into genuine fulfillment for herself. She doesn't seem to have "butterflies" around people unless someone has literally swooped down and saved her life, and those didn't last once they started a relationship, so she's still trying to figure things out. How much of Gwenpool is her performance, compared to the authors intent, the fandom, or her true intentions, whatever form they might take? Outside of internet chatter, is this an angle you are interested in for this character?
