    Small step but everything counts in such regions. Hopefully this moves the needle toward equal rights. If I recall correctly, South Korea doesn' thave the same problem as countries like Japan...

    If I recall correctly, South Korea doesn' thave the same problem as countries like Japan where the constitution itself specifically says marriage is between a man and a woman (ie the only way to change it is a constitutional reform a much more daunting process), so in theory once there's majority support for it it should be more easy to change. Fingers crossed.
