The rational part of my brain says this is just kind of a sensationalist article based on joke-y statistical inferences. But the rest says the gays are haunted and I should be scared of them.

This made me intrigued enough to read the article But what about bisexuals? Am I possessed by two ghosts? Or am I just only half possessed?

This made me intrigued enough to read the article

In an article on ghost possession, the group claimed that 85 percent of gay men and lesbians were possessed by ghosts of the opposite gender to them, and that this was the root cause of their homosexuality.

But what about bisexuals? Am I possessed by two ghosts? Or am I just only half possessed?

And that's why bisexual people can move objects with their mind.

Interesting article. The 7% difference is certainly significant given the low rate of LGBT people.

    From the article ->

    Other interesting tidbits:

29% of non-binary people and women have seen/felt a ghost, compared to 22% of trans women and 24% of cis women

As mentioned on our cats post, people with pets have been haunted more than those without, and people with lizards/amphibians are the most haunted of all

The likelihood of seeing/feeling a ghost went steadily up with age on our survey, but on the Pew survey, it vacillated.

    31% of rural-dwellers have seen/felt a ghost, compared to 26% of suburban and 24% of urban-dwellers

Aquarians were the most likely Zodiac sign to have seen a ghost, Sagittarius are the least likely

The pet ownership part is the most fascinating to me. That reveals some interesting layers to that cat parasite that lowers risk perception.

I'd do your best to not get a lizard but otherwise, no.

honestly i am struggling to come up with some sort of non-meta commentary here because this is just... wacky.

A quarter of LGBT+ women and non-binary people think they have seen or been in the presence of a ghost.
This figure was the result of Autostraddle’s Lesbian Stereotypes Survey, whose 12,317 responses were compared to those of the general American population, faced with a similar question in a research by the Pew Research Center.
Around 25 percent of LGBT+ women and non-binary respondents to the Autostraddle survey reported a supernatural encounter, compared to 18 percent of the general population—it is unclear whether they meant that they’d been ‘ghosted’ by inconsiderate dates.

If the 7% was 2.5% less this would be proportional to the difference between the amount of LGBT people that exist (approximated by survey of course) and zero LGBT people. So it's statistically...

So it's statistically significant. I wouldn't say controversial though, I don't believe in ghosts but I don't have much judgment for people who do.
