Well, I have good news and bad news for my household.
The good news is some follow-up news on Marlow, who has been given the all-clear of his pneumonia! This past Wednesday, we went for x-rays, and it was gone. He is feeling great, and we're on our last week of anti biotics. Also, he is now officially one year old as his birthday was the 22nd! He got some extra love, some cheese whiz and a ham. It's hard to spoil our cats extra since they're so spoiled already.

The (really) bad news is that just about 3 hours ago, we suddenly lost one of our other cats, Sophie (she was 4 years old). We still don't know exactly what happened, but our current guess is that she had a random seizure, bit her tongue (her mouth was bleeding) and was therefore in pain, and then panicked and had more seizures. Not even the vets knew what happened. My mom and I said goodbye to her this afternoon. The vet said seizures can leave scars that can then cause random ones in the future. She was given pain medications/sedatives before she went. The reason we suspect it was a seizure isn't just because the vet said she was having one when she got onto the vet's table, but also that Sophie had gotten into some floor cleaner some number of years ago where she licked the floor we'd just finished mopping and had a seizure then. But that was years ago, and she hadn't had another one until today.

I'll ofc be leaning on Marlow and my other cats a bit for support. We just couldn't afford to try to help her further. We'd spent so much on Marlow over the past month or so, and even putting a catheter in Sophie to give her a soft and quiet goodbye was already $600+.
Oof. What a rollercoaster it's been.
Poor Sophie. Looks like she was a sweet little girl.
I’m happy to hear the good news about Marlow. Poor Sophie! She looks like such a lovely cat, what rotten luck.
