Weekly thread for casual chat and photos of pets

Pics are hard but I was given two accident baby crested geckos because my friend houses her, apparently, opposite sex cresties in the same tank and they really enjoy each others company.

I had been housing the siblings together until this past week when they’re finally getting big enough I don’t want to risk accident inbred babies so I separated them, and ya’ll, it was so incredibly sad.

Boy baby (Im actually not sure, but have been calling him boy) didn’t sleep the whole day after the separation. He was just on the glass wall looking at his sister (again, not sure on sex) as she slept in his spot in her enclosure.

Theyre settled-ish now, but girl baby has figured out when I open the tank she can rush out and try to get to boy baby so she does this every single day. Its a mess.

I’m building them a shared enclosure with an aluminum window screen to separate, instead of totally separate enclosures, but it wont be ready for a few weeks cause I have to let the bugs establish.
