Weekly thread for casual chat and photos of pets

Currently cat-sitting for my friend's brother while their family goes on vacation. First time living with a cat, and so far it's fun! I won't post pictures since he may not approve, but she's very friendly and playful. We bought a laser pointer and have had to use it to lure her out of off-limits rooms like the garage multiple times.

We're basically treating this as a "trial run" for potentially getting a cat someday. It's definitely different from having a dog. I now really understand the origin of "curiosity killed the cat", none of our dogs were ever curious like this.
