Maybe not officially my pet, they are more like my house custodians. But I think they are cute and call them pets: one of our european edible dormice. They leave stuff in the house alone and are mostly just interested in shelter. When the grapes on the side of the house are ripe, they’ll feast on them.
Of course Smokey would like to give them some love bites, but luckily the mice are too quick and careful. I’d hate to have to bury one, so hopefully it will never come to that.
