This was a nice read, as I'm starting down this path myself in my home life. I've always been a hell of a procrastinator, but was able to keep on top of most of my personal to-do prior to having a child. Now I prioritize spending my non-working hours spending as much time with my young child as possible, but as a result my to-do list is ever growing. Simplification is probably the only realistic way to attempt to overcome the backlog and stay on top of it.

On that note, if anybody has any ideas about how to simplify the problems caused by home ownership I'm all ears. The constant maintenance is a lingering demon, and I can't seem to find any good options for stuff like "find a quality contractor for a medium-large project and obtain quotes to avoid getting ripped off or scammed" without spending insane amounts of time on it.
