The city of Lund, a university town, will move the date for manuring the lawns in the local parks, hoping that the smell of chicken shit will deter people from meeting there for traditional Walpurgi celebrations. Walpurgi Night is a common drunk-bash night here and students love getting drunk, further since our foundational laws prohibit the state from blocking assemblies or spontaneous gatherings (unless we're at war, which we're not and haven't been for about 200 years formally) they have to get creative with methods to ensure some social distancing.
Since the lawns and plants need to be fertilized anyway - the logic was that they might as well do it earlier and kill two birds with one stone.
Also tomorrow being First of May, with the traditional demonstrations - the idea now is that instead of demonstrations all different political groups are trying to set up alternatives. So hanging...

So hanging a red piece of cloth or a flag from your window seems to be what is proposed (husband dug out an old kitchen tablecloth for the occasion and my mother-in-law reported finding a bath towel with the inspirational quote of "Gran Canaria" on it she intend to use), and I think the left wing party youth group is planning some World of Warcraft thing (why WoW I have no idea) - and the party leader for that party (Jonas Sjöstedt) is apparently making an appearance and some kind of speech too, which is fun
