    Damn, this came out of nowhere it feels like. Unrelated but even with top class doctors and facilities available, seems like its very hard for humans to crack the 100 mark right now

      I've heard optimistic things about people born in more recent years. I would bet the average person born in 1950 or later had better nutrition growing up than the average person born in 1920 did...

      I've heard optimistic things about people born in more recent years. I would bet the average person born in 1950 or later had better nutrition growing up than the average person born in 1920 did (even with the prevalence of unhealthy food now) and that might make a difference.

        Yes, that is true. I was born in 2000 myself, wonder if I will live to see the 22nd Century. But even then I don't think that anyone born in the 20th Century will survive to even see past 2120-30...

But even then I don't think that anyone born in the 20th Century will survive to even see past 2120-30 barring some extraordinary scientific discoveries. The current record for the oldest human to ever live was around 120-125 if I'm not mistaken
