Not really sure where this leads. We had three right wing populist parties with roughly the same politics, with varying levels of crazyness. Now one is maybe dissolved and they will likely seed into the other parties. I honestly don't expect a huge impact on anything once this settles down. It is basically the same group of people moving around in different parties.
Strange to see a 'centre right' tag on a story about a 'far-right' political party. I know Pernille Vermond used that term, and of course, the Danish political center is pretty racist already so it check out in that sense, but still feels iffy.
There is absolutely no way that they were centre-right in the context of Danish politics. Maybe in the context of British or US politics but no, they were as far right as you could get in Danish parliament.
Yeah I'm genuinely concerned to see "center right" being used for a far right party in Europe. Sure, maybe they're center right if you compare them to the US, but the US Democrats would be considered center-right by European standards. Nye Borgerlige's stances sound pretty similar to Germany's far-right AfD and I would be absolutely horrified to see news about them tagged "centre right" on Tildes. I'd be curious to know the reasoning behind applying that tag here because it seems honestly like making a political statement to do so, but I assume that wasn't mycketforvirrad's reasoning.
I honestly don't think there is any intent behind this tag other than Vermund herself is quoted in the article about being centre-right. Which is totally reasonable to disagree with, but I wouldn't read too much opinion into a tag.
I often rank my tags in importance from left to right. That's why the
far rightis to the left, near the party name, and thecentre rightthe final tag before all the article detail tags. It was a talking point from the mentioned politician.I never use tags to further my own agenda. Mainly because I don't have an agenda. 😉
I would mark this comment off-topic if I could but I do sometimes take issue with your tags. Like, don't get me wrong, I have no bad blood or anything, it's just odd that when making a text post, someone else comes along to tag it? But the poster is surely the one who best knows their own intentions. This post last month that I tagged BPD was changed to a bipolar tag but I'm pretty sure I know best what my diagnosis is

Oh yeah I didn't mean to cast any aspersions on you; I've seen you around always being very thorough and conscientious about tagging posts, so I was pretty sure that wasn't your intent! The order makes sense now that I'm aware of it.

Fair enough! Your tagging is often so quick you'd be easily mistaken for one. I'm the sort of person who would probably not be bored about tagging philosophy tbqh, but I can totally understand that that's probably not most people.
