I entered one of these as a kid and we got the call that we one a trip to X! I was immediately suspicious (as a kid) and went through the whole rigamarole until they got to the part where I had to pay "a small fee" to claim my "prize" and "couldn't we just charge that to a credit card so we can get you on your way to your vacation."
This should all be illegal IMO. It's simply fraud.
