That's so incredibly scummy. I didn't pay much attention to Elon Musk or Tesla prior to a few months ago, but ever since they wound up on my radar I just seem to only hear negative things about them.

Yea the internet seems to have done a complete 180 on him ever since he became super mainstream, now people will take any chance they can to take shots at him. The article itself is actually kind of questionable. This isn't story I've been following too closely but a couple questions immediately spring to mind. She's a journalist, wouldn't a trial by Musk would bring insane amounts of good PR for them, unless he actually had something solid to back it up? Justifying it with trying not to disrupt 'mom & pop' is pretty flimsy for this being basically her entire career. She implies (if you can call it that) that Musk intentionally had his followers dox her, which which is very unlikely in my opinion. There are plenty of fanboys out there that would do it without being prompted. Most likely it was one of those people who did it and blew it up on Twitter. Maybe he took advantage of them, but it's all fair play for him at least. Also I'm pretty sure, although I could be wrong, that she was the one heavily suspected of bribing a Tesla employee to bring her inside knowledge of their production, so if this was true of course she would stop reporting.
Disclosure: I am/we are short TSLA.
Doesn't exactly help her from the motive front
I've said this before and I'll say it again, liking Elon Musk is like being a fan of Rick and Morty, I love what he's doing but I hate the entire culture around him. Yes he has insane fans that will dox any non-believers of his maybe-or-maybe-not intentional cult of personality surrounding him, but he is legitimtely doing things to help the world and advancement of science. He still has the most largest l-ion battery production and the cheapest and most advanced rockets in the world. It's good to take any article whether pro or against him with a few pounds of salt
Disagree strongly. It doesn't matter what Musk's followers do. Seeking to go after someone via their employer by any means is a low-blow. It's even worse when that person's professional identity...

It's even worse when that person's professional identity has been linked via doxxing. There is no reason to suppose that the employer would be happy to deal with the fallout of a legal action brought against the author for articles written in their free time. Elon Musk is a bully.
Seeking Alpha must be run by TSLA shorts because in my experience they are 100.00% negative on Tesla. Anyone that is 100% in any direction, on anything, is not really trustworthy in my opinion.
