EYES LEFT is a military podcast hosted by two anti-war Army veterans of the Afghanistan and Iraq wars, Spenser Rapone and Mike Prysner, covering issues from a left-wing and socialist perspective.
This podcast is very critical of the US war efforts in the middle east. It has been interesting to hear their perspectives - especially their capacity to empathize with "enemy combatants". I'm about five episodes in so far; one point that was introduced in their 5th episode "Afghanistan War Update: Defeated Generals Boast of Success" is that these are now multi-generational wars. There are young people enlisting in the military to be deployed in Afghanistan who were not alive during the September 11th attacks.
Haven't listened to them yet, but I'm interested to hear their take on Trump pulling out of Syria. Even leftists seem to be against it, using Rojava as some sort of excuse to support imperialism.
