Active YouTube channels in "dead" genres?
What are some good YouTube channels still currently working in genres which aren't currently popular because of algorithm shenanigans, the natural cycle of trends, or whatever else? I'm thinking like sketch comedy, original animations, serious short films, etc.
Probably not what you had in mind but the first thing that came to my mind was Pushing Up Roses. She used to review point & click adventure games but has recently moved to other things, probably because that game genre is "dead". Specifically, she now reviews episodes of old TV shows.
Someone from the same circle of youtubers that had a similar transition is Brutal Moose, now he reviews packaged food and obscure media.
Even PushingUpRoses' videos about TV feel like they're from an era of YouTube which has now passed, so I'd say she definitely fits.
Has she said that she's officially done with adventure stuff? I thought she was just riding the wave of her Murder, She Wrote videos for a while.
She still reviews games when something notorious comes out. I guess she felt there was not much left to review, that's why she moved to something else.
Kurt J. Mac is still walking to the farlands. His videos are still enjoyable.
