Tool to open packaging on USB sticks?

At my job, I'm opening a lot of USB sticks, and I was wondering if there was a particular punch tool or method to opening the packaging around the usb drives outside of the usual rip and tear.

Edit: Just realized you might have meant the annoying clamshell/blister packaging that some USB sticks come sold in. If so, an X-Acto knife is my go-to for getting into those. Just be careful...

It really depends on the case design, but back in the day I would often use anything from a palette or putty knife to an actual knife to get them open. I haven't had to open one up for a long time now, but when doing similar things these days (e.g. opening external drive enclosures) I tend to only need to use the jimmy, opening tools, and picks that came in my iFixit pro tech toolkit. And if this is the sort of thing you do often (opening/repairing electronics) too, then I would definitely recommend taking a look at their jimmy, prying/opening tools, or various toolkits.

Yeah, box cutter seems to be the weapon of choice at work. Thanks for the insight.

A Youtube channel I watch did a review of a couple somewhat cheesy devices for opening plastic packaging. It might be helpful as some of them did seem useful. https://youtu.be/4GT2C9VYzP4
