Midweek Movie Free Talk
Have you watched any movies recently you want to discuss? Any films you want to recommend or are hyped about? Feel free to discuss anything here.
Please just try to provide fair warning of spoilers if you can.
I got more of a general thing for you guys. What summer movies are you looking forward to?
I wasn't initially looking forward to Barbie. The teaser released last year didn't do anything for me and everything that I heard from the plot sounded really not for me. But the full trailer made me change my mind with the "To do what?" "I'm not actually sure." The other comedy of the summer I'm looking forward to is JLaw's No Hard Feelings, but I just love that Haunted Mansion trailer too much to put it above.
I did also wanna talk about the box office a little bit. Mario is looking to make about 500 million domestic, and well over a billion worldwide. And there's a good chance that it'll remain the highest grossing movie of the year in both senses. I do think if there's one movie that can beat it, at least domestically, it'll be Indiana Jones. I've had that pegged as potentially the highest grossing movie of the year since the very beginning. I will say though, if Mario remains the highest grossing movie of the year (world wide) it'll be the worst movie to be that since Transformers 4.
