In a sign that the healing has begun, Nolan has done post-production work on “Oppenheimer” on the Warners lot.

And so Hollywood has changed course yet again, with Warner Bros. Discovery announcing that its film group will no longer make straight-to-streaming movies.

This is very good news. I'm sure their reasons for this are profit-oriented (turns out the long-established billion-dollar theatrical system can in fact make money!), but a consequence of this is more respect being given to filmmakers. The whole day-and-date situation in 2021 really soured my opinion of WB, and filmmakers like Denis Villeneuve were clearly upset by it. Hopefully WB truly has changed since the Discovery merger and studio leadership change.

Anyway, excited for both Oppenheimer and Barbie next month, studio politics aside. Anyone else here planning on doing that double feature?
