Brosnahan was the obvious choice for me. She has the look, the charisma, the comedic chops. She just made sense. Shame about Hoult.

It's an uphill battle considering there has been talks of Skarsgard brothers also being in the running for the role of Lex Luthor.

Yes!! Love the Brosnahan pick, she's amazing in The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and I think she's going to kill it as Lois. I've only seen Corenswet in a couple of interviews, but he exudes that optimistic Superman charisma (and obviously looks the part) so he seems like a good pick. Both of them must be on cloud nine right now.

Here's hoping Gunn can get DC back on track. After how good GOTG3 was, I'm feeling optimistic.

With her work in Marvelous Ms Maisel, it makes me want a Superman set in the 1940 or 50s. Just reboot the whole DCU into the era they originated in. Fuck trying to make some modern Avengers-adjacent franchise. I feel like the 40s & 50s are ripe for social exploration, and a dedicated franchise can take its time really digging into it.
