Let's hope he's immortal, anyway. I greatly prefer living in a world with Mel Brooks in it. I got to this interview in a roundabout way last night and thought some of you might also enjoy it. I've liked his movies ever since I saw Robin Hood: Men in Tights when I was around 11 or 12, so just the right time to appreciate its over-the-top crass humor. As an adult I sometimes struggle with his more childish or sexist jokes, but overall enjoy his work.
The interview talks about his life and career in general, his experiences in World War II, his thoughts on comedy, and some notes on how the world has changed in 97 years. I figure anyone with that much experience is worth listening to. Enjoy!
