Just to add on to this box office discussion. Sound of Freedom, kind of a QAnon adjacent film, has become a big hit. It's, so far, at 40 million domestic with perhaps legging it out to 70-80 million. Disney originally had the film, which was shot back in 2018, but they kept it shelved for years. Angel Studios, which is brand new, took it out of their hands and now have a success in theaters.

I say QAnon adjacent, afaik it isn't strictly a Trumpian Dinesh D'Souza joint, but it clearly is playing well with that crowd. Considering those types of movies don't usually make this much money, I think it's having more appeal for reasons other than that. It's playing well outside of the coasts. Perhaps it's a market that Hollywood no longer feeds. The market that would go watch Clint Eastwood movies.

However, Sounds of Freedom just seems to be an action movie in the same vein as Taken, what with the whole "Federal agent saves kid from traffickers, finds out the kids sister is still with the traffickers so hunts them down".

Just because a movies a bit "America, guns and bad-ass federal agents" or because it performs well "outside of the coasts" doesn't make it QAnon adjacent, unless I'm missing something as a non-American of course.

That's just where the conversation is at with this movie. Especially since Caviezel himself is a bit of a QAnon nut.

I liked him in Person of Interest as well, left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth now.

Yeah, I feel that, I loved Person of Interest but Caviezel is definitely ruined for me now. Gonna make it hard to rewatch.
