This is one of those widely predicted Oscar films. I'm not really feeling it. It looks way too baity to the point where I think it's gonna be one of those widely predicted films that ends up flopping come the December precursors.
I'm sure it's a solid movie like 2022's She Said. Maybe my gut instinct is wrong here, I don't even know what Focus would do in the case of this flopping. Bikeriders flopped at the box office and Nosferatu is a horror film.
Oscar-baiting in general seems like less of a sure thing these days anyways. Lots of recent best picture winners have been rather out of left field, and likely never would have gotten nominated...
