This is from the Palm Springs guy, which was one of my favorite movies of 2020.
This was shot in 2021 and has been in post production hell ever since. As much I liked Palm Springs this doesn’t look nearly as good as that.

I can't be sure, but it might be one of those cases where it wasn't testing well and the studio didn't really know what to do with it. That's generally how those things go (same thing happened with Borderlands which also shot in 2021).
Palm Springs being over four years ago (releasing in the summer of 2020) has definitely lost Barbakow a lot of steam. Which is a shame since I think that film was a really strong debut and should have launched him to bigger and better things.
Somehow this trailer made this movie look exactly like every other movie I’ve ever seen. It’s hard to imagine myself caring about anything or anyone presented in the trailer.
