Superman was a big deal, as the first film of the new DC universe. We'll see how the DCGU(?) plays out.
Fantastic Four was a huge deal, in finally bringing Marvel's First Family into the cinematic universe. Disney bought 20th Century Fox to make this happen.

Speaking of milestones this is the first time since 2011 (not counting 2020) that a comic book film did not make 700M WW.
