88M DOM opening compared to Way of Water’s 140M opening. A drop off, which I think was widely expected. Don’t think this is hitting 2B like the previous two installments. But to have a franchise where you can drop off over a billion and still be a massive success is certainly something.
Other news: The Housemaid opened decently to 19M. And Marty Supreme has the highest per theater average for a limited release of the pandemic era and actually since 2016’s La La Land.
