Midweek Movie Free Talk
Have you watched any movies recently you want to discuss? Any films you want to recommend or are hyped about? Feel free to discuss anything here.
Please just try to provide fair warning of spoilers if you can.
I watched First Blood (Rambo) after hearing Sly Stallone recount his really difficult life on The New York Times episode of The Interview.
Actually, a pretty good show! Did Predator bite from the plot? As a Canadian, it made me realize how little I know about the Vietnam war.
Been re-watching some Wes Anderson movies with the commentary, looking into interviews, etc because one of my friends wants to do a Wes Anderson marathon and I wanna make sure we're prepared to talk about themes and analysis and stuff.
Also...watched Verity and Digger. Verity sucked, Digger was...pretty good? idk I haven't been able to stop thinking about it.
I can't remember which one its for, but the commentary recorded in the bar wasn't the best decision.
He does pretty good commentary tracks, though. I just finished writing a script to post one low-res every day from The Royal Tenenbaums to mastodon as my profile pic. They're all in order and about 4kb each (400x400.) It'll take exactly one year to run through them all. :)
