Aww, that's a bummer! The visuals are a huge part of what made that movie and I'd love to have a similar look on Dune.

A story the scope of Dune is obviously going to be tough to tackle, considering how many failed attempts we've had. I really hope he can keep the heart of the story while cutting out the parts that are going to need to be cut to fit a movie runtime.

Elsewhere I have read Bautista is playing Glossu Rabban Harkonnen, which isn't a particularly big role but I'm sure he'll do a good job with it.

It really is a tough book to convert to a film format. So much exposition is needed to school the viewer in the rules of the Dune-world and to convey the multitude of minute details happening in one single moment. The only way to get enough information across is near-constant narration.

Two films. It's not enough. Dune needs to be a tv series really.
