Bond 25 title revealed: No Time to Die
@007:
Daniel Craig returns as James Bond, 007 in... NO TIME TO DIE. Out in the UK on 3 April 2020 and 8 April 2020 in the US. #Bond25 #NoTimeToDie https://t.co/qxYEnMhk2s
I think it's a good, self referential title.
So far Daniel Craig is 2/4 on James Bond movies. Before Skyfall came out, I went back and rewatched all of them in order to fill in the gaps since I hadn't seen one or two. Honestly, most of them are pretty bad. A lot of them have held up pretty poorly. So 50% isn't too bad an average for a Bond run.
Who does everyone else think the best James Bond is? I like Timothy Dalton's portrayal of the character the most and it's too bad he only did two of them due to rights issues.
Controversial opinion perhaps, but I've always liked George Lazenby. It probably helps that Diana Rigg is in On Her Majesty's Secret Service as well.
Connery is the obvious choice, and he is very good. Dalton I think would have done much better with better films but y'know, the 80s...
Craig is very meh for me.
Best Bond movie is still Casino Royale. The first one.
I think On Her Majesty's Secret Service is one of the lesser movies, but I do like Lazenby's performance.
My biggest gripe isn't with him, but the movie itself.
How does Blofeld not recognize Bond immediately? They've met before (as seen in the previous films). It does lend credence to the theory that James Bond is a codename used by many different secret agents over the years though.
Quantum of Solace was pretty bad, but I really dislike Skyfall. So. Freaking. Much.
Let's look at the timeline in the Craig Bond movies:
Not that Quantum didn't have its failures, but so many people were proclaiming Skyfall to supposedly be this masterpiece of Bond movies, and I just don't see it.
