My favorite thing about BTTF tech is how the DeLorean was modded and damaged/repaired in each time period. The hover conversion and Mr. Fusion from the future in BTTF 2, and then the '50s era white wall tires and vacuum tube-based hood box to replace the melted time circuit control microchip in BTTF3. Not to mention the railroad wheels conversion. That thing was a beautiful Frankenstein car... and then it was destroyed. Doc Brown's flying time locomotive is pretty awesome too, but there's something special about the DeLorean and how we were able to follow its journey and many transformations.
I do NOT want a BTTF sequel or reboot, but I like to imagine the car surviving and making more trips and receiving further alterations. Eventually it would become a ship-of-Theseus, completely cobbled together with disparate parts, with nothing of the original DMC car remaining.
No mention of facial recognition?
I really wanted flying cars. But mostly BTTF2. That movie has some cool tech. The leach walking the dig was hilarious.
