For context, on Saturday this song won Norway's national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest. There were other good songs in the finals, but most of them were ballads, and those are a dime a dozen in ESC. This tune is loads of fun and very catchy. It probably won't do well enough with the juries to have a chance at winning, but I think it will do well with the televotes.
In nineteen days time I can witness Sweden confirm an inevitably anodyne ballad as this year's Eurovision entry with my own two ears. Sigh!
Norway is first out of the gate as always, but I have a feeling this might be my Nordic song to champion this year.
