Yorushika's latest work "Magic Lantern" will be released on April 5, 2023 (Wednesday).
"Magic Lantern" will be the first work in about two years and two months since the EP "Sosaku".
This work is an "art book".
The art book is composed of pictures drawn by Takashi Kato, and it is loaded by holding the camera of a smartphone or tablet over the picture of the art book, and it is equipped with a specification that connects to a dedicated music playback page.
It will be a "listening art collection" that depicts a theme set for each work from the two aspects of music and painting.
There are no plans to release it on CD.
A total of 25 songs will be included in the art book.
In the download and subscription service, it will be a distribution album consisting of around 12 songs, mainly pre-distribution songs.
cc: @Bauke, since I know you're a fan too.
I'm really hoping they're gearing up for a new album/EP because the drip feed of singles for the past little while has me craving for more!
Not strictly speaking an album, but... https://yorushika.com/news/detail/11434
