p.s. Any other bands/groups people can recommend who make similar music? For me, the only other ones I can think of with that same sort of "epic" (no other words I can think of to describe it) electronic music style is Birdy Nam Nam, and Daft Punk ofc.

Ah, mais oui! There's so much of the "Ed Banger / Bromance" sound to get into! You may know some or all of these, but if not, dive on in!

Off the top of ma tete, some stuff to get started with (In the vein of Daft Punk, Justice & Birdy Nam Nam)

      Carpenter Brut

Most people call this stuff "Synthwave" but IDK, it's always been way closer to the OG electro sound of Ed Banger than anything else. Super cinematic and tough as nails.
Listen: Carpenter Brut - Turbo Killer

      Owl Vision

Very Dark, Gothic and Cinematic Electro from Sweden
      Listen: Own Vision - Skulls

      Brodinski

A key player in the Ed Banger Records scene with a heavy Hip Hop influence to his stuff
Listen: Brodinski - Dance Like Machines

      Gesaffelstien

King of the dark acid sound, a legend, and, one of the coolest dudes I ever met.
      Listen: Gesaffelstien - Pursuit

      Digitalism

That sweet sweet 2007 era blog house sound never goes out of style. Simply put: classic, eurocheese electro house with big fat analogue synths and crunchy drum machine goodness. Soundtrack shit.
      Listen: Digitalism - Miami Showdown

      M|O|O|N|

More soundtracky electro goodness from MOON, who's better known for his Video Game soundtracks than his club hits. Still VERY much in the realm of the above stuff, wearing it's Ed Banger influences upfront.
      Listen: M|O|O|N - Paris

      Dog Blood

Skrillex and Boyz Noize do acid house. Nuff said. This shit GOES.
Listen: Dog Blood - Next Order

      Vitalic

Extremely epic, disco fuelled, emotional electronic excellence. More towards the later years of Daft Punk than the aggressive early Justice sound.
Listen: Vitalic - Waiting For The Stars

I can add more later when I can think of some others I like!

Saw Carpenter Brut live last year, being my first time doing any live show, and I had an absolute blast.

I can't in good conscience comment without recommending Roller Mobster, which was the track that showed up out of the blue on my Spotify Discover Weekly five years ago and sent me down the rabbit hole.

Such a fantastic song! I first heard it on the soundtrack for the video game Hotline Miami 2 which is well worth a listen. Here's a YouTube playlist for the whole OST (it's #27 on there), along with a downloadable version from archive.org (#29 there). The OST for the first game is great as well.

Thank you so much for the detailed list! This is going in a playlist for Monday. I still listen to Cross every now and then, this will definitely be nice to explore.

I made this Spotify playlist containing tracks I'd associate with Justice and their sound in various ways. There are definitely tracks that most people would consider strangely absent and plenty that are definitely a stretch, but the intent when I created this was to appeal to my specific tastes, and to give it a kind of flow (including, when possible, the end of the previous track and the beginning of the current track sharing a distinct commonality, almost as if it were mixed that way). Also, due to tracks being removed from the service all the time, there are some holes that weren't previously there. (The most recent of them I kept in there, and you'll see them grayed out if you have that enabled in your Spotify settings.)

For sure, this playlist is 100% personally tailored to my tastes...otherwise I could have just copy and pasted various French touch tracks + anything else Xavier and Gaspard were inspired by or artists inspired by Justice. Which is probably more or less the bulk of it. Some of the bloghouse stuff can get kind of out there and might not be to the taste of a lot of people, I'll admit.

That said, I will swear up and down by Midnight Juggernauts as being criminally overlooked and sadly completely forgotten after the bloghouse boom ended (which makes sense, as they unofficially went on an indefinite hiatus). They collaborated with Justice on AVD (the track Ohio), and definitely have the same retro-inspired bent as Justice, even if they went about it in somewhat different ways. I'm happy to just now discover their first album Dystopia is back on Spotify, which I don't think it's been on there in a decade or so. Unfortunately their album The Crystal Axis still doesn't have the album version of the song Vital Signs so it's not going to have the proper transition that really starts the album off right. So if you can listen to that one through other means, that would be ideal.

I got you. I asked this same question 10 years ago and found a random producer named Mosh on Bandcamp. Listen to his track McQueen, and I think it'll scratch the same itch as Justice for you.

Bd rom had a bunch of good suggestions and I'd just like to add Kavinsky. Road Game is a good place to start.

Justice remains to this day one of my favorite musical acts ever. Their humble origins are inspiring, the sound they helped pioneer, their commitment to their personal vision...really have to admire them. Plus, everything in their entire catalog manages to push all the right buttons for me. Excited to see what comes next...here's hoping its another radical departure in the same way AVD took everyone off guard.

Justice - Helix (Domenico Torti's Headspin Remix)

I also love a lot of the more melodic/poppy stuff Gaspard did for Uffie and a few of Mr Oizo's films like Rubber and Steak -- they're just such an incredibly talented and unmatched group!!
